AV systems for museums, theatres and cultural institutions
PROAV designs and delivers audiovisual systems for museums, galleries and theatres: projection in auditoriums and conference rooms, large-format screens on stage, video walls and Digital Signage with visitor information, as well as sound systems. In renovated and historic interiors we start the design from the architecture, so that the equipment does not disturb the character of the place. We have delivered such systems at the POLIN Museum, the Zachęta National Gallery of Art and the Theatre Academy (Akademia Teatralna) in Warsaw, among others.
Images that convey the full power of the message. We select projectors and screens after analysing the rooms and lighting, so that films and archive material achieve cinema quality during galas, congresses and screenings.
Equipment that fits the architecture. We plan installation around vaulted ceilings, window recesses and minimalist interiors – including with custom-made mounting structures.
Messages updated by the institution's own team. Staff arrange and change the content on screens themselves, without calling in service technicians and without software subscription fees.
Reliability at important events. We choose solutions that reduce the risk of downtime, such as laser projectors with multi-year warranties.
In museums, galleries and theatres we combine projection in auditoriums, stage screens, video walls and Digital Signage in visitor service areas, sound systems and conference room systems. We tailor the scope to the type of events and the architecture of the building.
Solutions used:

In the auditorium of the POLIN Museum, which hosts international conferences, galas and film screenings, we replaced an ageing lamp-based projector with a Barco UDM-4K22 laser projector offering 4K UHD resolution and 22,000 ISO lumens of brightness.
The projector displays the image on a 12-metre screen directly from the projection booth, where we built a custom mounting structure for it. See the POLIN project.
In POLIN’s conference rooms for 60 and 80 people we installed NEC laser projectors with 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, which display clear content even with the lights on.
The choice was preceded by a detailed analysis of the rooms – in 2016 laser technology was not yet widespread.

In Zachęta’s ticket office area we installed four frameless LG 55″ displays in two 2×1 sets on either side of a column. Right at the entrance, visitors see information about exhibitions, workshops and ticket prices, legible from more than ten metres away.
Because of the window recess and the vaulted ceiling, we suspended the displays on precision-adjustable mounts tailored to the architecture of the interior. See the Zachęta project.
For content management we used LG SuperSign software, which requires no external media players, while a lifetime licence eliminates subscription fees.
The gallery team uploads graphics, videos and text themselves, arranges them in templates and schedules what is displayed when. More about the solution: Digital Signage.

On the stage of the main hall at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw we installed a custom-made Adeo Screen Max One screen measuring 650 × 488 cm.
The Vision White surface retains saturated colours in a dark hall lit by directional spotlights, and the image is legible from every seat in the audience. See the project.
