Klub Bankowca Związku Banków Polskich
The Bankers' Club of the Polish Bank Association (Klub Bankowca Związku Banków Polskich) is a self-governing organisation with a history of more than 20 years that promotes knowledge and strengthens relationships between younger and more experienced members of the banking profession. Its historic 19th-century building in the riverside part of Warsaw hosts industry conferences, panel discussions, training sessions and anniversary celebrations. For these multi-purpose rooms, PROAV tested, selected and deployed a mobile Poly video conferencing system that participants start from a single touch panel.
The main meeting room is 20 metres long, holds up to 120 people and can be split into two rooms with a movable wall. The system had to transmit image and sound over long distances, and it had to be easy to understand for people who had never used integrated video conferencing systems before.
Before choosing the equipment, we carried out detailed tests of several solutions and agreed the details with the client. The new system had to work with the Cisco Webex platform and with the room's existing sound system: ceiling loudspeakers, a wired Bosch discussion system, wireless microphones and analogue equipment.

Coverage in a long room. In a room 20 metres long and almost 7 metres wide, the cameras need to show participants from a long distance. The client expected cameras with a powerful zoom and as little loss of image quality as possible.
A flexible room layout. The room is sometimes divided into two smaller rooms, and some of the equipment was to be moved and quickly set up in other rooms of the Club.
Simple operation and compatibility with the existing infrastructure. The system was to start meetings on the Cisco Webex platform and use the room's existing sound system, without replacing audio equipment that was working well.
A video terminal matched to a large room. In the main room we deployed a Poly G7500 video terminal with an EagleEye IV PTZ camera. The camera has 12x optical zoom and Full HD resolution, so it can show participants' faces from more than ten metres away.
Framing matched to the room layout. Pan and tilt functions work well in irregularly shaped rooms, including after the room has been divided with the movable wall. The USB-connected camera can be moved to other positions in the room, and the video conference image is shown on one or two projection screens.

Meetings started with one button. The video conference is controlled wirelessly from an 8-inch Poly TC8 touch panel. Thanks to integration with the company calendar, a call with the right team or person is set up with a single touch.
Attention on the people, not the technology. From the same interface, participants join meetings, start them and share content. No technical knowledge is needed, so any member of the Club's staff can run the room.
A complete solution in a single device. In the president's six-person office we used a Poly Trio 8500 kit with a touch panel, loudspeakers and microphones. The Visual+ module connects it to portable Poly EagleEye Cube USB cameras, and the whole setup is compatible with Cisco Webex.
Every participant in the frame. The EagleEye Cube cameras have a 120-degree field of view, 5x digital zoom and automatic framing, so even in a small room they capture everyone at the table.
A kit that can be moved. Day to day the solution operates in the president's office, but the client can move it to another room at any time and start an online meeting there.

Klub Bankowca holds remote meetings both in the large conference room and in the president's office. Participants are clearly visible wherever they sit at the table, and the system adapts to the room layout when it is divided by the movable wall. The camera's powerful zoom makes it possible to follow participants' faces even from the far end of the 20-metre room.
Participants start a call from the touch panel or the calendar, without help from a technician. The new equipment works with the existing sound system and discussion system, so the client did not have to replace audio infrastructure that was working well.
Mobile equipment means the Club's rooms are used more. The USB cameras and the Poly Trio kit can be taken to whichever room is hosting a training session or panel discussion, and a meeting can be started there without any additional installation. Event organisers are therefore not limited to one permanently equipped room.
Testing solutions before deployment allowed us to match the equipment to the historic interior and to the way the Club works. In the same organisation's headquarters we also equipped the conference rooms and common areas – described in the project Związek Banków Polskich.
