Shure IntelliMix: Microsoft Teams Rooms ready for AI-assisted meetings
Hybrid meetings are increasingly accompanied by AI features – automatic transcripts and summaries in Microsoft Copilot – and their value depends directly on audio quality. Hybrid meeting rooms are an area where PROAV combines video conferencing, sound and control into a single system; we have worked with Shure solutions in projects such as the boardroom of the Bankowy Fundusz Gwarancyjny (Bank Guarantee Fund). For Microsoft Teams Rooms, we propose Shure IntelliMix Room kits and the IntelliMix Bar Pro video bar. Your organisation gains clear speech capture, rooms that are commissioned without programming, and remote management by the IT department.
Selection based on room analysis. Before choosing a kit, we check the size and layout of the rooms, the acoustic conditions and how meetings are run. On that basis we advise which rooms suit a ceiling module and which a video bar, and how many rooms are worth equipping in the first phase.
One standard for all rooms. We deploy IntelliMix kits together with displays, cabling and room booking, and agree network and licensing requirements with the IT department. Further rooms are built to the same template.
Support after commissioning. Before handing over a room, we check audio and video quality under real meeting conditions and train users in operating the system. Once the system is up and running, the client has our service department at their disposal.

Bankowy Fundusz Gwarancyjny. In a boardroom with a flexible table layout, we deployed a Shure MXW series wireless microphone system for 16 people, integrated with video conferencing, projection and room booking. The client uses this room for larger-group discussions, both in person and with remote participants.
We design video conferencing rooms with IntelliMix kits in a similar way: we match microphones, cameras and displays to the room layout and connect everything to the calendar and the control system, so that a meeting starts with a single tap on the panel.
Reliable meeting notes and summaries. IntelliMix Room software with AI Denoiser and AI Deverb reduces noise and reverberation, so every contribution is clearly heard by remote participants and accurately transcribed by Microsoft Copilot. In the IntelliMix Bar Pro video bar, the same role is played by IntelliMix processing, which eliminates echo, noise and reverberation even during lively discussions.
Equal participation for remote attendees. The Huddly cameras in IntelliMix Room kits frame the image intelligently – from gallery view, in which each participant has their own window, to the Huddly Crew multi-camera system, which switches in real time between the speaker, listeners' reactions and a view of the whole room. In the IntelliMix Bar Pro, the IntelliMix View feature automatically frames the person speaking. Remote participants can see the facial expressions and gestures even of those sitting at the far end of the room.
Rooms commissioned without programming. The computer, audio system and cameras configure themselves automatically at start-up – all you need to do is sign in to Microsoft Teams Rooms or use Windows Autopilot. The solution requires no manual tuning of audio and video settings, which shortens the deployment of further rooms and makes it easier to maintain a consistent standard across the organisation.
Fewer devices in the room. The MXA902 ceiling module combines an array microphone, a loudspeaker and a signal processor in a single device powered by one network cable, so the conference table stays free of microphones and cables. The IntelliMix Bar Pro integrates cameras, microphones, stereo loudspeakers and a compute unit in a single enclosure mounted by the display.
Security and investment protection. IntelliMix Room kits use Microsoft Security Framework mechanisms, while the IntelliMix Bar Pro uses the security features of the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform. The IT department monitors, updates and diagnoses devices remotely, for example through the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal and ShureCloud. Service for the whole kit, including the cameras, is provided by Shure, and an optional warranty extension gives up to 5 years of cover in total – throughout the typical depreciation period of the equipment.
Business / Corporate. Organisations with many meeting rooms can deploy a single standard – from project team rooms to the boardroom – and manage it from one console. Clear speech capture translates into reliable Copilot summaries that teams use in their follow-up work.
Public administration. Briefings involving regional offices and meetings with stakeholders require every participant to be heard and seen clearly, wherever they sit at the table. Complete, intelligible capture of what is said makes it easier to prepare meeting minutes, and management within the Microsoft environment fits in with the institution's security requirements.
Industry, Energy and Transport. Companies with production plants, branches and operations centres in different regions hold daily meetings and briefings remotely. A consistent room standard at headquarters and in branches simplifies operation and maintenance, and in larger rooms with a changing layout the IMXRK 80 kit with the Huddly Crew multi-camera system works well.
Team rooms and small meeting rooms. We recommend the IMXRK 30 kit, which combines one MXA902 module, covering an area of approx. 6 × 6 m without zone configuration, with a Huddly IQ camera with a 150° field of view that also shows people sitting close to the screen.
Medium and large conference rooms. We propose the IMXRK 50 and IMXRK 70 kits with the Huddly L1 camera with a 6K sensor; for larger rooms the IMXRK 70 kit comes with two MXA902 modules. Where ceiling mounting is not possible, we choose the IntelliMix Bar Pro – an all-in-one solution mounted by the display, with a microphone pick-up range of up to 7.5 m.
Prestige rooms and reconfigurable spaces. We design these with the IMXRK 80 kit – two MXA902 modules and the Huddly Crew system provide shots from several angles, bringing the hybrid meeting experience closer to a conversation around a single table.
Which video conferencing platform is the organisation's standard? IntelliMix Room kits are designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms; a version for Zoom Rooms is also available. We confirm the choice before ordering, as it determines the version of the kit.
Does the ceiling allow a ceiling module to be installed? The MXA902 can be mounted in a suspended ceiling, directly on the ceiling, on a pole or on cables. If none of these options is possible, we recommend a video bar.
At what stage do we involve the IT department? At the concept stage – the solutions require a network connection with PoE+ power, Microsoft Teams Rooms accounts and licences, and agreed rules for remote device management.
Should the room work with room booking and control? We coordinate the room panel, calendar and control system in a single design, so that a meeting booked in Outlook can be started with a single tap on the panel.
How long should the room run without replacing equipment? If the organisation plans a five-year life cycle, we include a warranty extension in the proposal from the outset.
