Związek Banków Polskich
Związek Banków Polskich (the Polish Bank Association) is the self-governing organisation of the banking sector, bringing together most private and public banks in Poland and providing a forum for their cooperation and dialogue. ZBP helps shape the legal framework for the development of banking and looks after relations between Polish banks and foreign financial institutions. In the Association's refurbished headquarters, PROAV designed and installed video projection, video conferencing and a sound system for the common areas, combining them into a coherent whole delivered in stages.
After the refurbishment, the conference rooms were to host both in-person and remote meetings, including presentations of financial reports, indicators and forecasts. The largest room was to be divided into two by a movable wall, and the sound system was also to cover the reception, corridors and washrooms.
As the refurbishment covered successive office areas, we planned the deployment in several stages aligned with the works schedule. We worked with the interior designer from the design stage onwards, so that the suspended ceilings were prepared for AV equipment from the start. For each room, we analysed how meetings are run in order to match the equipment to its size and purpose.

Industries:

A room with a changing layout. The largest conference room had to work both as a single space and as two independent rooms once the movable partition wall was closed. Each part needed its own image and the ability to select a signal source.
Equipment invisible within the interior design. The client expected the projectors and screens not to disrupt the décor of the rooms. The equipment was to retract into the ceiling when not in use.
Video conferencing compatible with the client's platform. The priorities for remote meetings were high audio quality and a stable connection, and the system had to work with Cisco Webex, the platform used by ZBP.
Consistent sound across many spaces. The first stage was the sound system for the reception, corridors and washrooms. We used Apart Audio CMX20DT installation loudspeakers with frameless grilles that blend discreetly into the ceiling, powered by an Apart Audio MA120 mixing amplifier.
Music managed from an app. Music is played by an Apart Audio PMR4000RmkII multi-function player with an FM tuner, internet radio and support for network and USB files. Staff select and adjust the music from a mobile app.

A clear image in a bright room. In the medium and large conference rooms we installed Optoma EH512 projectors with Full HD resolution and 5000 ANSI lumens brightness. They allow detailed reports, graphics and videos to be presented even in a well-lit room.
Equipment hidden when not needed. We mounted the projectors in Avers SimLift ceiling lifts, and the image is displayed on recessed ceiling Adeo Screen Inceel screens, 250 cm and 300 cm wide, with a Vision White surface and black borders. When switched off, the projector and screen retract into the ceiling.
Start-up with a single remote. An Avers Beta Trigger controller lowers the screen and the lift automatically when the projector is switched on. As a result, the rooms need no extra remotes or wall switches.
A complete kit for remote meetings. In the conference room we used a Poly Trio 8800 conference phone which, together with the Visual+ video module and an EagleEye IV PTZ camera, forms a complete video conferencing solution compatible with Cisco Webex.
Signal transmitted over long distances. The equipment room is a long way from the conference room, so the signal is carried by Key Digital HDBaseT extenders. A Key Digital KD-MS4x4G HDMI matrix switches audio and video sources independently, adapting the system to the room's current layout, and users manage the image in the Key Digital app.
Ready for expansion. We fitted Bachmann CONI media ports in the conference tables, with lockable lids matching the table top, which allow further devices to be connected in the future.

ZBP's conference rooms are ready both for presentations to participants in the room and for remote meetings with partners. The large room works as a single space or as two independent rooms, and the matrix adapts image distribution to the chosen layout.
The equipment does not disrupt the interior design: the projectors and screens stay hidden in the ceiling, and starting a presentation is as simple as switching on the projector. The reception and corridors now have a consistent sound system that staff manage from an app.
We carried out the successive stages of work in step with the progress of the refurbishment, in consultation with the interior designer. For the same client, we also delivered a mobile video conferencing system at the ZBP Klub Bankowca, working in a historic building and in a divisible meeting room.
Remote meeting participants use a single Poly kit compatible with Cisco Webex, with no extra configuration before each call. The media ports in the tables allow the system to be expanded with further devices in the future without rebuilding the installation.
