Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region
The Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Region (Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Małopolskiego) in Kraków is an auxiliary body that carries out statutory tasks delegated by the regional Marshal, including in the areas of public education, defence, and health promotion and protection. The office's boardroom needed a screen for presentations and performance indicators that would also be used for video conferencing. PROAV supplied, installed and commissioned a video wall made of LG displays in this room, integrated with a camera and a JBL soundbar.
The client expected a high-end video wall that would be legible in daylight and work with a sound system and a camera for remote meetings. The JBL soundbar and the camera were supplied by the client, so PROAV designed the system to bring these devices together into one coherent whole.
Because the boardroom screen is in daily use, PROAV – which has its own service department – took ease of operation into account from the outset: a mounting structure with quick access to each display and an enclosure designed to suit the interior.

Presentations and indicators on a large screen. The video wall was to display presentations and performance indicators legibly for all participants in board meetings, including in daylight.
Ready for video conferencing. The display system had to work with a sound system delivering loud, clear audio and with a camera, so that the room could be used for remote meetings.
In keeping with the room's décor. The screen structure was to blend in with the décor of the room rather than dominate it as a separate piece of technical equipment.
A seamless image from four displays. We built the video wall from 4 LG 55VL5F 55-inch narrow-bezel displays in a 2x2 layout. The 3.5 mm bezel-to-bezel gap means the joined displays form a uniform surface, while a brightness of 500 cd/m2 ensures a legible image in daylight.
An enclosure designed for the interior. We framed the video wall with a black enclosure, so the whole structure blends in with the décor of the boardroom.
Mounting designed with servicing in mind. We based the mounting structure on Newstar LED-VW500 pop-out mounts designed for video walls. Tool-free adjustment allowed us to align the screens precisely, and the pop-out mechanism makes later service work on each display easier.

Integration of client-supplied equipment. We integrated the video conferencing system with the JBL soundbar and camera supplied by the office. The camera was mounted above the displays, on the centre line of the video wall.
Sound that carries throughout the room. A professional JBL soundbar provides the audio during video conferences. The sound fills the entire room, so everyone, regardless of their distance from the screen, can take an active part in the remote meeting.
The office's management board uses a single, large screen both for discussing presentations and indicators on site and during remote meetings. The image stays bright and uniform even in daylight. Video conferences take place on the same screen, with no need to set up additional equipment before a meeting.
The pop-out mounts make the wall easier to maintain: each display can be accessed without dismantling the structure, which simplifies any service work and reduces the risk of damage. The black enclosure gives the room a tidy appearance and conceals the mounting components. Precise alignment of the displays keeps the image uniform across the entire surface of the wall.
PROAV's scope of work covered the supply, installation and commissioning of the video wall together with its enclosure, as well as integration with the client's video conferencing equipment. We have also delivered video walls in a lecture hall for the National School of Revenue Administration in Otwock. Integrating the equipment supplied by the client made it possible to use existing hardware in the new system.
