NEC

NEC projectors are at work in many rooms designed and delivered by PROAV – from council chambers and conference rooms in institutions, through museums, to corporate offices. In each of these projects we matched the projector's brightness and resolution to the amount of daylight in the room, the screen size and the mounting position, and integrated the whole set-up with signal distribution and room control. NEC displays and projectors are now developed by Sharp NEC Display Solutions, and we help clients upgrade and extend their existing installations.

The organisations that come to us most often are those whose projector, after years of service, produces too dark an image, needs frequent lamp replacements or does not support new signal sources.

We advise whether replacing the projector alone is enough or whether it is worth upgrading the entire image chain – always after analysing the conditions in the room.

NEC projectors in PROAV projects

Supreme Court courtroom. At the Supreme Court we selected and installed new NEC projectors, integrating them with the existing signal distributor, which restored a bright image on both screens in a very bright room.

Museum conference rooms. At the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, after analysing the rooms, we recommended NEC projectors for rooms seating 60 and 80 people.

Company and institutional offices. NEC projectors with ceiling-recessed screens are in use in the offices of Assa Abloy, TM Toys and Tpay, among others, and an NEC laser projector in the boardroom of the Bank Guarantee Fund.

Projection replacement and upgrades

Brightness matched to the room. We measure the lighting conditions and select the projector’s brightness so that presentations are legible without fully darkening the room.

Laser instead of lamp. When upgrading, we analyse whether switching to a laser light source will reduce downtime and running costs for the way the room is actually used.

Keeping existing infrastructure. Wherever possible, we reuse existing screens, mounts, ceiling lifts and cabling – as at the Supreme Court, where the new projectors work with the existing signal distributor.

Solutions we recommend today

Sharp displays. The professional displays now developed by Sharp NEC Display Solutions are offered under the Sharp brand.

Installation projectors. For conference rooms and auditoriums we recommend Epson, Panasonic and Barco projectors, selected to suit the screen size and the brightness of the room.

Projection screens. We complete the projection system with Adeo Screen screens – roll-down, ceiling-recessed or fixed-frame.

How we select a projector

Conference room. A WUXGA projector with brightness matched to the daylight in the room, and a roll-down or ceiling-recessed screen.

Council chamber and lecture room. A high-brightness projector, often laser, with a lens matched to the throw distance and integration with signal distribution.

Auditorium. An installation projector with an interchangeable lens and a wide screen. More: Video projection. Projectors and screens.
