Pomorski Park Naukowo-Technologiczny
Pomorski Park Naukowo-Technologiczny (Pomeranian Science and Technology Park) in Gdynia is a centre that brings business and science together, with a mission to support innovation and projects based on advanced technologies. More than 250 companies operate in the park's buildings, working in environmental protection, IT, robotics and many other fields. For this community of technology companies, PROAV designed, installed and integrated a Digital Signage system that guides visitors to tenants' offices on every floor. The client needed portrait-oriented displays on every floor, showing the list of companies on that floor and exactly where each office is located. The whole system was to be operated remotely by a single employee, responsible among other things for changing graphics and switching the displays on and off.
That is why from the outset we treated the displays and software as a single system: we selected displays designed to run for many hours a day, brackets for portrait mounting, and a content management platform that allows all screens to be operated from one workstation.

Clear information on every floor. On each floor, the screens were to show an up-to-date list of companies together with the location of their offices. The portrait layout matches the form of a tenant directory and fits well into the corridor walls.
Operation by one person. Changing graphics, switching the displays on and off and monitoring their operation were to be done remotely, without walking round every floor. This required centralised content management for the whole building.
51 display points. Across all 6 floors of the building we installed a total of 51 LG displays. We chose dust-resistant units designed to run continuously for well over ten hours a day and easy to connect to other audiovisual equipment.
Portrait mounting. We mounted the displays on EDBAK brackets designed for portrait installation. As a result, the screens are securely fixed to the walls and positioned consistently on every floor.
One platform for all screens. We deployed the EVEO URVE content management system and integrated it with the LG displays. We connected a URVE media player to each display, which communicates with the management software installed on the client's server.
Content, scheduling and monitoring. The operator displays graphics, videos, announcements and weather information on selected screens. The software shows where the screens are located, allows the system to be switched on and off automatically on a schedule, and lets the operator check remotely that all devices are working correctly.
Visitors and employees of the companies based in the park can check on every floor where the office they are looking for is located. The information is always up to date, because changing the tenant list only requires editing the content in the management system.
The facility manager operates 51 screens from one workstation: scheduling content, setting display operating hours and monitoring their status remotely. The screens can also show advertising messages, videos and weather information.
The system grows with the organisation's needs. Although one person can run it, the client can at any time grant access to further employees with separate permissions: the marketing team can edit content only, while the IT administrator retains access to all configuration functions.
PROAV's scope of work covered the selection of displays and brackets, installation of the displays on six floors, connection of the players and integration of the content management system with the client's server. Visitor information can also be complemented by a large-format display in the office reception, like the one we deployed for GATX Rail Poland.
